Club News & Pics

Sherwood Archers became a reality in the spring of 1948 when a group of interested bowbenders got together and formed a field archery club. The range, at that time, was located just off Electric Road, (Rt. 419), on property now occupied by Carter Machinery. In 1956 the range, twenty-eight targets, was moved to the foot of Fort Lewis Mountain on property owned by a Mrs. Ella Lee. In return for the use of the land, Sherwood paid Mrs. Lee's real estate taxes.

Interested in Joining Sherwood? Want to see what the club has to offer? Want to see the Facilities before you join? No problem. Contact on of our Officers to schedule a tour with one of our ambassadors.

Try our our Tree Stand target. This platform is open all year to our members. During 3D tournaments challenge your archery skills in true hunting situations.

One of our many field targets. Our field archery range wanders through some gorgeous hardwoods. Long flat shots, up and down hill shots. Hone your skills on the range. There is nothing like the flight of an arrow from 80 Yards.
